Intermediate to advanced proficiency in piano, vocal, string, or wind instruments

(audition required).

Application Process

Submit Application Form

​Complete the online application form and pay a non-refundable application fee of $150.

Demonstrate Performance Skills

Submit a 15-minute video showcasing your best musical performance.

Evaluation and Admission

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of world-class mentors, with admission decisions issued within 10 business days.

Application Deadline

All application materials must be submitted by February 1, 2025.

Original Price: $3,600

merit based scholarship for high school students(local student)

Early bird (paid in full before March 1st): $3,300

Observer Participation Fee: $1,080 per person. 

If you wish to arrange additional private lessons, please contact the organizing committee separately.

The duration of private lessons will depend on the artist's availability and the arrangements made by the festival committee (additional fees will apply).

•Professional courses and masterclass fees (combining individual and group instruction)

•   Local transportation in Boston and for all camp activities

•Comprehensive international travel insurance and emergency medical services.

•Tickets and participation fees for music performances, including Tanglewood Music Festival.

Excludes

•Round-trip international or domestic airfare to/from Boston.

Introduction: He founded and leads the Klezmer Conservatory Band, making significant contributions to the revival of Klezmer music in the United States. His teaching focuses on improvisation and global musical traditions.

Jennifer Elowitch

Professor, New England Conservatory (NEC)

Co-founder, Boston Chamber Music Society.

Introduction: Jennifer Elowitch is highly acclaimed for her exceptional violin performances and significant contributions to music education.

Alexander Korsantia

Piano professor, New England Conservatory (NEC)

Field: Piano

Introduction: Alexander Korsantia is a distinguished piano professor at the New England Conservatory (NEC) and a Georgian pianist renowned for his extensive repertoire and exceptional artistry. He has won numerous international piano competition awards, including the Santander International Piano Competition in Spain.

Victor Rosenbaum

Field: Piano, Chamber Music, Music Education

Introduction: Victor Rosenbaum  renowned for his profound interpretations of works by Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, and other classical composers. He is a former chair of the NEC Performance Studies Department and has been actively involved in international piano performances and masterclass teaching for many years.

Michael Lewin

Piano professor, New England Conservatory (NEC)

Introduction: Michael Lewin is a senior professor in the Piano Department at the New England Conservatory (NEC), an internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician. His performance style is celebrated for its combination of passion and subtlety. He has won numerous international piano competition awards, including First Prize at the Liszt International Piano Competition.

David Zoffer

Introduction: David Zoffer is a renowned professor in the Jazz Studies Department at the New England Conservatory (NEC), specializing in cross-genre composition and improvisation. Hyun-Ji Kwon

Cello professor, Phillips Exeter Academy

Field: Cello, Chamber Music

Introduction: Hyun-Ji Kwon is a cellist teaching at Phillips Exeter Academy, known for her extensive performance experience and deep understanding of both contemporary and classical cello repertoire. She is a member of the Boston Lyric Opera, Meadowlark Trio,
Echo Bridge Cellos, Convergence Ensemble, and frequently performs with the Boston Ballet
Orchestra, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra.

Miguel Pérez-Espejo Cárdenas is recognized as “An extraordinary violinist with an outstanding ability to interpret from the heart” (Aaron Rosand), "a very strong leader, a magnificent soloist, with a beautiful tone, impeccable intonation and rhythm, wonderful musicianship and artistic sensibility”(Stanislaw Skrowaczewski), whose performances have been praised as “extremely impressive of exceptional expressive depth”(Geoffrey Norris, Chief Music Critic, The Daily Telegraph, UK.)

Hsin-Lin Tsai

Violin faculty member

at the New England Conservatory

Hsin-Lin Tsai has concertized as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S, Europe, and Taiwan, and has performed with distinguished musicians that include principal players and members of the Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Montréal, and San Diego Symphony orchestras, and with artists such as Andris Nelsons, John Williams, and Sir Colin Davis. The legendary Yfrah Neaman said of her "I have not heard anyone play with such musicality,  emotion, and beautiful sound in the last fifty years."

Ronald Lowry

principal cellist of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the Boston Ballet Orchestra

Ronald Lowry is an active performer in many of Boston’s leading musical organizations. Called a “superb cellist” by the Boston Globe’s Richard Dyer, he is the principal cellist of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the Boston Ballet Orchestra. Former principal cellist of the National Symphony of Costa Rica, the Handel and Haydn Society, and the Harvard Chamber Orchestra, Lowry performs frequently with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and with the Boston Pops.

Taisiya Sokolova

Principal viola of the Gilded Age Orchestra of Newport and Boston Opera Collaborative,

Faculty at Project STEP

Dr. Taisiya Sokolova is a Russian-born violist, soloist, and educator based in Boston. She has performed with orchestras such as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Milwaukee Symphony, and Camerata Chicago, and collaborated with artists like Andrea Bocelli and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She holds a DMA from Boston University and degrees from DePaul and Indiana University. Taisiya is also a dedicated teacher, currently on faculty at Project STEP and training in the Suzuki method.

Nazan Nihal

Singer, Songwriter,

Co-founder of Neotolia

Nazan Nihal is a singer and songwriter recognized for her work with the folk-jazz band Neotolia. As lead vocalist, co-arranger, and co-producer, she contributed to the album Rose Lace, which won a Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards.

In 2017, she released her first solo album Ayrılıklar Öldürmüyor, produced by Tuna VelibaÅŸoÄŸlu of the band SEKSENDÖRT, featuring songs she wrote and composed herself. The album was released by Poll Production on major physical and digital platforms.

Nazan continues to perform with Neotolia, touring regularly in Boston and across North America.

Rebecca Perricone

professional vocalist, actress, and director

Rebecca Perricone is a professional vocalist, actress, and director with extensive experience on Broadway, television, and in repertory theater. She has performed alongside Zero Mostel and Austin Pendleton on Broadway and has recorded albums including Love at Last and Burgundy Brew.

She is also a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). She is the former artistic director of Framingham Community Theater. Passionate about connecting people through music and theater, she actively promotes musical theater initiatives at Berklee College of Music.

Charlotte Hu

Piano Professor, Temple University

​Charlotte Hu is a Taiwanese-American concert pianist and piano professor at Temple University. She is the winner of the 2008 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition and the 2012 Golden Melody Award for Best Classical Album. Known for her poetic and passionate interpretations, she has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Concertgebouw. Hu is the founder of the Philadelphia Young Pianists' Academy (PYPA) and the Yun-Hsiang International Music Festival in Taipei, and is a Steinway Artist actively involved in global music education through masterclasses and artist residencies.
